HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across much of the area this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Additional, isolated showers and storms will be possible across mainly the Pennyrile this afternoon as a cold front passes through that area during peak heating. Some of the storms may be strong, producing wind gusts to 50 mph, very heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Isolated flash flooding will also be possible.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
