Updated 8:39 p.m. A 6-year-old girl and an adult man were flown to Nashville, Tennessee after their tractor was hit by a truck Wednesday night in Crofton.

The man suffered from significant head trauma and facial fractures, according to Payton Rodgers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS. He was flown via helicopter to Skyline Medical Center. The child also had head trauma and facial injuries and was flown to Vanderbilt Pediatrics.

The driver of the truck was medically assessed but refused transport.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A serious wreck Wednesday evening in Christian County has shut down multiple lanes of traffic, with helicopters arriving to assist.

Around 7:30 p.m., the Hopkinsville Fire Department/EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 13000 block of Highway 41 (Madisonville Road), just north of Crofton. The southbound and northbound lanes of the area have been completely shut down at this time.

Multiple medical helicopters have been requested to assist possible patients involved in the accident, according to a statement from HFD. No additional information about the wreck and injured individuals is available at this time.
