HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Free admission to all children and students will be available at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County starting June 10.
In a partnership with Mayor J.R. Knight and the City of Hopkinsville, free admission will be available until Aug. 31, according to a press release from the museum.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to learn about our rich local history and culture,” said Knight. “I believe that by making the museum accessible for everyone, we are investing in the future of our community. I encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity and explore and learn together.”
Throughout the summer, the Pennyroyal Area Museum will be open on Mondays which gives the community and visitors an extra 11 days to explore all the museum has to offer. On Mondays, the museum will feature special programming each week at 10:30 a.m. No registration is required and the programming will be free to all students.
From June 10 through Aug. 31, the museum will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, visit the website or call the museum at 270-887-4270.
