HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission are hosting The Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural and Culinary Conversations, an open group that explores the diversity of community through food, on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

The club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation, and learning about other cultures, according to a press release from the museum. The first meeting will feature the Nance siblings, who will be cooking traditional African American soul food. Thelma Nance Moore, Paulette Nance Robinson, Shirley Nance Shelton, Desma Renea Nance Blount and Delmar Nance will share some of their favorite foods from their childhood. Their mother prepared meals for the convention center and at the family restaurant Nance’s on Walnut Street for decades.

Guests will have the opportunity to taste and experience a variety of dishes and will be able to take home a recipe to cook the dish at home. The cost to attend the program is $10 or $50 for all six programs. Dates for upcoming Supper Club gatherings will be April 11, June 13, Aug. 8, Oct. 10, and Dec. 12. All programs will be held at the Pennyroyal Area Museum at 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Pennyroyal Area Museum or online in their Shopify store. For more details call the museum at 270-887-4270.
