PEMBROKE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Music in the Park is returning to Pembroke Park on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m.

Phillip Peterson, Christian County District 6 magistrate, started this event in 2019 as a way to see members in the community more than just once a year at election times. Unfortunately, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the event was postponed and wasn’t held again until 2022. This year will be the third Music in the Park event, explains Peterson.

“It’s a great way for a small-town community to get together to talk, relax and enjoy great music,” Peterson said. “I also get the chance to talk to people in my district.”

Rachel Crick, a Kentucky native and Nashville performer will be playing fiddle tunes from several genres, including country and gospel. Along with music, there will be a petting zoo, cornhole and food. The event is free and open to the public.

Pembroke Park is at 131 S. Main St., Pembroke.
