HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Natalie Pyle has been appointed as the new Christian County Treasurer, according to a news release. She will start the position at the beginning of November.
The Christian County Judge Executive has officially recommended Pyle to the Fiscal Court Magistrates for the job. She will be replacing Walter Cummings, who is reportedly leaving the position to enter the private workforce.
Judge Gilliam says, “We are fortunate to have someone of Natalie’s caliber serve this Fiscal Court as Treasurer. Natalie comes highly recommended and will be a vital asset to Christian County. Walter Cummings has set a very high bar as current Treasurer, and I am confident Natalie can match this level of excellence.”
The release states that Pyle is a Christian County native, and Hopkinsville High School and Murray State alumni. She has been in the accounting field for 29 years.
The previous treasurer will stay on board through November to help ease the transition. Gilliam says, “Walter will be leaving with a legacy of accurate, efficient, and effective accounting. He has served Christian County at the highest caliber, and I have never met anyone with the level of dedication and professionalism he possesses. He will certainly be missed.”
