HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Jacob Ezell has announced Anthony Holloway has been selected as the new head coach for the Lady Tiger softball program. Holloway has been involved with the program for several years and previously served as head coach. Last school year, the HHS team failed to fill their roster for the season, which resulted in it being cancelled due to lack of participation.

“As we get ready to combine the two schools, it is a pleasure to coach the last year of softball at HHS,” said Coach Anthony Holloway. “The team has a lot of history and accomplishments to be proud of. I am excited to see parents and the community get behind these young ladies as they are a part of history. I promise that the girls will be ready each and every game. Win, lose, or tie they will leave it all on the field. 100% always.”

Holloway previously served as JROTC instructor at Hopkinsville High until his retirement in 2024. During his tenure at the school he served as head coach of the Lady Tiger Softball Team from 2012-2017.

“Coach Holloway brings experience, leadership, and heart to the program,” said Athletic Director Jacob Ezell. “There’s no better person to lead this team through such a meaningful final season. I’m confident he’ll help our student-athletes close out the HHS chapter with pride and purpose.”
