OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The new Oak Grove Community Center and Parks and Recreation Director has planned a day to get to know the community. Residents in Oak Grove and surrounding communities are invited to attend an upcoming Meet the Director Day on Jan. 5.
People will be able to stop in between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. with the goal of evaluating the needs of the community and meeting Director Eric Hauser in person. He will also be providing information about resources, programs, events, and activities planned for the coming year. Recently hired after retiring from the military, Hauser’s experience serving the city dates back to his work with the local mason lodge, which often involved collaborations with the community center.
Houser said the event will serve as an introduction to in-depth discussions about the future of the community center, and he is open to receiving feedback about the needs and wants of the residents. This ongoing dialogue will help create a community focused outline of events and activities that align with priorities of the city.
