HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 conducted several special enforcement details during Super Bowl weekend.
During the Super Bowl weekend, Post 2 troopers issued 232 citations, arrested eight impaired drivers, made nine drug arrests, served 14 warrants, and answered 38 calls for service, along with several other types of enforcement activity.
Troopers also conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on Feb. 8 on KY-115 near the state line in Christian County. During the checkpoint, approximately 65 vehicle inspections were conducted, resulting in 23 total charges/offenses. Of those, four were drug-related offenses and four impaired drivers were investigated and arrested. Assisting agencies also issued several citations and arrested two impaired drivers.
