OAK GROVE, KY – On June 28, 2025, officers investigated a report of an assault that occurred in the vicinity of Carter Road. Following an investigation, a man from Oak Grove was arrested and charged with several offenses.

The female victim reported that 32-year-old Brandon Bunch from Oak Grove had assaulted her, made threats to kill her, and restricted her airway. Despite her attempts to escape from Bunch, he restrained her and prevented her from fleeing.

When she tried to contact the police, he removed her ability to do so. It is further alleged that he took the victim to a secluded area where she feared he would carry out his threats. Ultimately, the victim was able to escape from the vehicle when the suspect nearly struck her with it.

The Christian County Court issued a warrant for Bunch’s arrest, and he was apprehended with the assistance of military officials. Bunch was charged with the following offenses and was booked into the Christian County Jail:

  • Strangulation in the second degree (domestic violence related)
  • Intimidating a participant in the legal process
  • Wanton endangerment in the first degree
  • Terroristic threatening in the third degree
  • Unlawful imprisonment in the first degree
