OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A warrant has been issued for a suspect believed to be connected to a murder investigation in Oak Grove. Local law enforcement is seeking assistance from the public to locate the man.
On Nov. 23 at around 3 a.m. Oak Grove officers responded to a shooting on Fort Campbell Boulevard that resulted in the death of 25-year-old Jaylin Glenn. Through an investigation, authorities determined that the suspect, 28-year-old Avery Bates of Clarksville, Tennessee, fired the fatal shot, according to a news release from Oak Grove PD. Following this evidence, detectives sought and were granted a warrant for his arrest on the charge of murder.
Officers believed that Bates has fled the area since the shooting occurred. Anyone with information about his whereabouts are encouraged to contact Oak Grove PD’s non-emergency line at 270-439-4602.
