CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A lost pony found on the roads of Christian County is being held in a temporary home while the owners can be tracked down.

On Sept. 9, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pony on the loose in Herndon who was seen running down Highway 117. Deputies were not able to locate the owner, so she is being cared for by a local Amish resident until she is claimed.

The mare is described as having one eye and is a brown color with a light brown mane. Anyone who knows where this pony is from can contact the Christian County ECC non-emergency line at 270-890-1300.
