OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office discovered a large amount of illegal narcotics, cash, and a firearm in a home on Friday, leading to the arrest of two people.

The investigation stemmed from information gathered by detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office and the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. A warrant was served at a home on Gleaves Lane in the city limits of Oak Grove. Once inside, two people were detained and the residence was searched, said a news release from CCSO.

Detectives found 3,100 fentanyl pills, just under a pound of methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. Deputies also found a single fentanyl pill located in a vehicle on the property. The fentanyl pills have a street value of approximately $31,000, while the methamphetamine holds a value around $6,000.

Three small children were also found in the home. The two suspects were arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of second-degree criminal abuse with children under 12.
