Patsy Karlene Gray Arvin, age 85 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, December 21st at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

She was born December 21, 1938 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Elva George and Verna Mae Sexton Gray.

She was a member of Grace Ministries Church where she was very active and loved to attend. She loved her family and enjoyed going to flea markets. She loved to cook and was known for her biscuits.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Warren Finzel; her second husband, Ernest Arvin; a son, Gerald Patrick Finzel; three brothers, Elva Arbrenes Gray, Berva Jewell Gray and Bobby Mitchell Gray; four sisters, Jennie Ann Caskey, Gloria Jean Mondell, Alice Josephine Hooper and Nancy Mae Collins and four grandchildren, Maria, Marissa, Carissen and Justice Finzel. She is survived by two sons, Michael J. Finzel of Lexington, Kentucky and James Anthony Finzel of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Theresa Finzel Koerner of Hopkinsville; one brother, William “Billy” Gray of Atoka, Oklahoma; one sister, Mildred Joyce Adcock of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Grace Ministries Church on a later date. We will update the service date and time once those arrangements have been made.
