HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Pennyroyal Arts Council is hosting an old Hollywood themed fundraiser to bring the community together for a glitzy evening of live music and food.

Picnic with the Pops is an outdoor concert and community gathering on May 11 at the Sixth Street lot, according to the Pennyroyal Arts Council. Live music from Hollywood’s golden age will be played all evening by Todd Hill and his Orchestra. People attending are encouraged decorate their tables with along with the theme and dress up as their favorite movie stars.

Attendees can eat while enjoying the music by ordering take out or bringing a picnic meal. Downtown restaurants like The Mixer are providing special themed to-go menus for people attending the fundraiser including items like Hollywood Blvd. Street Tacos and Sinatra Spaghetti.

The event will also have a cash bar and silent auction in the Alhambra lobby which will showcase artwork from talented local artists. The music will begin at 5:30 p.m. and funds raised from table sales will benefit the arts council. Purchase a table or seats for Picnic with the Pops on the Pennyroyal Arts Center website.
