HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
This is Brownie. He is a 1 and a half year old German Shepherd that was released to the shelter because they could no longer afford to care for him. He DOES NOT LIKE OTHER DOGS so he will need to be in a home without them. He has never been around cats so we are unsure how he will do with them. He is great with children and really enjoys playing with them. He has not been housetrained, but if you are willing to give him some time and patience and teach him, he is willing to learn! Brownie has been given his first round of vaccines and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 11/14/2023. If you could give this baby a home for the holidays and FURR-EVER after that, please come meet him! Brownie’s adoption fee is $83.

Meet G.G. She is a 7 month old Pit Bull Terrier that was released to the shelter because of a landlord refusal. She is great with doggos and really enjoys having canine playmates. She has never been around cats so we are unsure how she would do with them. She does great with children, so there are no worries there. She has already been HOUSE TRAINED and CRATE TRAINED! G.G. has been given her first round of vaccines, is CURRENT ON HER RABIES VACCINE, and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 11/14/2023. She is now ready for her new FURR-EVER home! G.G’s adoption fee is $73.
