HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.

Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:

Meet Goldie. She is a 8 month old Hound mix that was released to the shelter because they had too many. We were not told if she is good with other dogs, cats, or children, but she is still young enough that she could be introduced into a family with them. We were also not told if she is housetrained, but she can definitely still learn. She has been given her first round of vaccines and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 11/16/2023. She is now ready for her shot at a FURR-EVER home!
Goldie’s adoption fee is $83.
Midnight, 7 year old Labrador Retriever mix. (Contributed)

Meet Midnight. She is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray from Pembroke. We are unsure if she is good with other dogs, cats, or children or if she is housetrained as she was a stray and we have no way of knowing. She has been given his first round of vaccines and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 11/16/2023. She is now ready to find her new FURR-EVER home! Midnight’s adoption fee is $75.50
