HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
Meet Mistletoe. He is a 6 year old champagne and white DSH. He was brought to the shelter as a stray. We are unsure if he is good with other cats, dogs, or children or if he is litter box trained as he was a stray and we have no way of knowing. He has been given his first round of vaccines and is FLV/FIV/HW NEGATIVE as of 12/06/2023. He has been NEUTERED and brought CURRENT ON HIS RABIES VACCINE through the shelter’s GET ‘EM DONE program. He is now ready to find his PURR-FECT home! Mistletoe’s adoption fee is $67.50.
Pearl is a six month old Retriever mix. (Contributed)Pearl is a six month old Retriever mix who was adopted and then returned to the shelter as a stray! We are unsure if she is good with other dogs, cats, or children or if she is housetrained as she came back as a stray and we have no way of knowing. Pearl has been SPAYED and is MICROCHIPPED already! She has been given her new round of vaccines and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 12/05/2023. Pearl is now ready to find her FURR-EVER home!
Her adoption fee is $50.50.
