HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
Meet Yeti. He is a 5 year old Chihuahua Pit Bull Terrier mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray. We are unsure if he is good with other dogs, cats, or children or if he is house trained as he was a stray and we have no way of knowing. He has been given his first round of vaccines and he is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 01/12/2024. He is now ready to find his new FURR-EVER home! Yeti’s adoption fee is $83.
Meet Pixie. She is a 1 and a half year old tabby and white DSH that was released to the shelter because they could no longer keep her. She is good with other cats and does not even mind being around dogs. She is also really great with children, and really enjoys getting loved on by them! She does great at the vet, and rides very quiet and calm in the car. Her favorite toys are balls and fluffy toys, so make sure you have them on hand, and you will be her best friend. She loves to cuddle, so turn that TV on, pick out a movie, kick back, and cuddle with the cat! The best cuddles there are! She has been given her first round of vaccines and is FLV/FIV/HW NEGATIVE as of 01/11/2024. She is also already SPAYED and CURRENT ON HER RABIES VACCINE. She is now ready to find her new PURR-FECT home! Pixie’s adoption fee is $32.50
