HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
Meet Dug. He is a 2-year-old Terrier mix that was released to the shelter because they were being forced to move. He was good with the other dogs and cats that he came in with, so he should do fine with other animals! He loves children as well! The previous owner said that he is house trained, but he has had quite a few accidents here at the shelter just while be processed. He seemed really nervous though, so he could do just fine at your house once he settles in. He is worth a trial adoption to see if he would work out! He has been neutered and brought current on his rabies vaccine through the shelter’s Get ‘Em Done program. Dug’s adoption fee is $85.
While Sweetie may be a lone wolf at heart, her aversion to other cats and dogs is a testament to her strong personality and independent spirit. Sweetie is FLV/FIV/HW NEGATIVE as of 06/16/2023, spayed, current on her rabies vaccine, and microchipped. She’s ready to embark on a new chapter of her life with confidence and poise. Sweetie’s journey is far from over, and she’s eagerly awaiting the chance to find a loving family who will embrace her for who she is—a spirited feline with a heart of gold.
