HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Open play for pickleball is returning to the Planters Bank Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex this month for friendly games. The season will be between Aug. 6 and Sep. 26, where players can grab some friends and play on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“Players can expect a comfortable and friendly environment in our state-of-the-art climate-controlled facility. The pickleball community is incredibly welcoming and often is willing to share the ropes with newcomers,” said Rachel Sanders with Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. “We hope experienced, and beginner players alike join us over the next two months!”

She added that requests for pickleball open play have grown over the past few years, which lead to Pickleball at the Plex. Players will need to bring their own equipment and pay $5 per person, with play available on four indoor courts.
