OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Oak Grove Tourism has announced Bret Michaels as the headlining artist for this year’s 17th Annual Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell concert. The ’80s rock star will take the Viceroy Stage in Oak Grove at 7 p.m. on May 25.

“Fans of our festival have been asking us to incorporate a different genre and we are finally able to give the crowd what they want,” said Traci Cunningham, Executive Director of Oak Grove Tourism & Convention Commission.

People everywhere know some of his biggest hits like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Go That Far” and “Nothing But a Good Time.” Aside from music, Michaels still finds time to give back through his Life Rocks Foundation which supports a myriad of charities and causes around the globe, according to a news release from Oak Grove Tourism.

“He is the son of a veteran, and his admiration and support of the military is rooted heavily in his family of former Marines, Army Rangers, and Navy Seamen,” said Cunningham. “He is most certainly a true patriot. Having had a career that has spanned over 30 years made him one of the best entertainers of our time, there is no doubt he will be phenomenal.”
