The newly constructed quarters are replacing those built in the 1980s. The project represents a major step towards improving Soldier housing. The units are built to allow for more space and privacy to be afforded to the service members who inhabit them.
“Improving the quality-of-life of the Soldiers who serve in this Division and on Fort Campbell is one of our top priorities,” said Lt. Col. Martin Meiners, spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). “We want to ensure the barracks that belong to us not only meet the standards every Soldier deserves, but exceed them in terms of safety, comfort and modernization.”
