Raymond Earl “Ray” Hamby, 78, of Hopkinsville, KY died Saturday morning January 13, 2024 at Christian Health Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ganther officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of St. Charles, KY he was born May 17, 1945 the son of the late Ura and Pearl Hamby. He was retired from Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: J.T. Hamby, Wayne Hamby, Bobby Hamby, and Tommy Clay Hamby.
Survivors include the mother of his children: Diana Sue Hamby of Hopkinsville, KY; his children: Jill (Todd) Duncan of Grand Rivers, KY and Rodney (Summer) Hamby of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother: Odel (Betty) Hamby of Madisonville, KY; his sister: Annette (Harold) Miller of Madisonville, KY; his grandchildren: Nikki (Collier) Jones and Brady Hamby; his step grandchildren: Jared (Maggie) Duncan and Jessica (Chase) Duncan; his great grandchildren: Reese Jones, Remington Jones, and Rae Elliott Jones; and his step great grandchildren: Brayden Duncan, Rayne Western, Laura Duncan, and Clara Duncan.
