HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The right lane of I-24 westbound near milepost 91 over the West Fork Red River Bridge will be temporarily closed through Feb. 28. Essential repairs are being made to the road, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Drivers should expect delays around this area for the next few days.
Separately, beginning the week of March 4, the Hopkinsville Public Works Department will be restriping on-street parking spaces downtown. Single lane closures will be in place to allow staff to work and the paint to dry, according to the City of Hopkinsville.
This project will take place on portions of South Main Street, Virginia Street, and East Ninth Street. On street parking will be unavailable during the painting, and traffic will be affected.
