HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – As fall approaches, prepare to pull out the running shoes for this year’s 7th Annual Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K. This is a joint road race through the city, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18.
According to Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, this year will have updated courses, with the 13 mile half marathon path winding through downtown Hopkinsville, residential areas, the Christian County countryside, and across the Rail Trail bridge. The start and finish line will be in front of the Christian County Justice Center.
Alongside the 5K and half marathon, there will also be two virtual races. The cost for various registration packages includes a custom designed medal and shirt. Sign up prices will increase after Sept. 27, so people are encouraged to register early.
