HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Rural King development inside of the Bradford Square Mall in Hopkinsville has an opening day and is now hiring, after the store’s arrival was announced two years ago. Bailey Thompson with Rural King Construction confirmed the store will open Nov.1.
Dozens of job listings for this location have opened up on the Rural King website, and there is a sign posted at the location advertising a job fair.

In February of 2022, the Southwestern Kentucky Economic Development Council announced Rural King would be opening in Hopkinsville. According to a previous news release from the development council, the store is part of a nearly $8 million redevelopment of the mall.
Triple S Construction LLC in Hopkinsville has openly been involved in the renovation of the store, with their demolition starting back in January. Steven Mayton, the owner of Triple S Construction told Christian County Now that they have installed new HVAC, framing, and drywall along with new electrical. They are currently working on flooring and signage.
