HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville restaurant that has been through several iterations of ownership in the past few years will be closing their doors this spring. In a statement on social media on April 6, Sapore Ristorante announced that their restaurant on Novadell Way will be closing.

“Thank you for dining with us. We are grateful for every guest and every moment shared,” said the statement. Chef and co-owner Arbnor Gashi served up classic Italian dishes to the community with an upscale menu. They also own Casa D’Italia in Clarksville, Tennessee along with a restaurant in Bowling Green.

The restaurant has been through many ownerships throughout the years after initially opening in 2001 as Novadell. In November 2023, the restaurant took new ownership with Durango Mendez and Orlando Coxaji. Gashi acquired ownership of the restaurant in August of 2024, renaming it Sapore Ristorante.

Their last day in business will be April 26, the restaurant is located in Hopkinsville at 500 Novadell Way.
