HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Christian County by the National Weather Service until 8 p.m. on Thursday night.
According to NWS in Paducah, scattered thunderstorms will develop across the area this afternoon. A few of these storms could reach severe levels primarily between noon and 7 p.m., with large hail and damaging wind gusts being the main threats. Locally heavy rain is possible as well.
A severe weather outlook map from NWS shows that the Hopkinsville area is currently at a slight risk for the development of severe storms.
