Update, 3:25 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for northern Christian County until 4 p.m. At 3:23 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Cobb, or 7 miles southeast of Princeton, moving northeast at 55 mph with possible 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
“Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees,” the NWS said.
Update, 2 p.m.: The National Weather Service announced the Tornado Watch for Christian County has been extended until 6 p.m. this afternoon.
Update, 9:50 a.m.: A Tornado Watch has been issued for Christian County and surrounding counties until 3 p.m. today. A watch means that conditions are right for a tornado to form. If a tornado is spotted, a Tornado Warning will be issued.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A hazardous weather outlook has been set in Christian County as potentially severe storms will be coming in Tuesday.
The National Weather Service warns the public that damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail could be possible. This is expected to begin in the late morning and early afternoon as a cold front comes in.
Wind gusts could get up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service. More storms are possible Wednesday but should not be severe. Colder temperatures will blow in after the storms with the possibility of freezing temperatures overnight later in the week.
