HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Jacob Ezell has announced Shawn Jones has been named as the new head coach for the Tiger archery program. Jones has been actively involved with the program and recently served as an assistant for the program.

“I was introduced to archery at twelve and was encouraged by a former coach to consider coaching the sport,” said Coach Shawn Jones. “My daughter, who is currently involved in archery, also wanted me to become a coach and that made the decision even more meaningful. I’m a very motivated person and passionate about everything I do. No matter the task, I always give 110%.”

Jones is a 2004 graduate of Christian County High School. He’s a proud husband and father to two daughters and a son. He is also a proud military veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps with two tours in Iraq.

“We are very excited to have Coach Jones lead the Archery Program,” said Athletic Director Jacob Ezell. “He will be a great addition to the HHS Tiger athletics program. He has done great things with assisting the HHS Archery program, and we’re looking forward to the same success and leadership moving forward as the head coach.”
