HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A planned road project in Christian County has been pushed back to an undetermined date due to forecasted severe weather this week.

On March 31, crews were slated to begin repairs on a sinkhole that is forming under the roadway on Pembroke- Oak Grove Road (KY 115) in Christian County. With nearly a foot of rain predicted for the area through the end of the week, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet decided to postpone the work, according to a news release.

When a date is set for repairs, the road will be blocked at the 8.1-mile marker, just north of Pruitt Lane. There will be a marked detour advising motorists to use KY 109 and KY 1027 to avoid the closure.
