HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Local nonprofit Sanctuary Inc. is selling ornaments at multiple businesses in Hopkinsville to raise money and awareness about their mission of domestic violence prevention.
The wooden ornaments are topped with purple ribbon, which is the national color for domestic violence awareness. Each ornament costs $20. They were designed by The Collective 270, according to a press release from the organization.
“We are grateful for the newly established partnership with The Collective 270 who has creatively found a way to express sentiments of peace. Creating a world of peace starts by ending violence on a local level,” said Sanctuary Inc. executive director Heather Lancaster. “Each day Sanctuary Inc. strives to support and empower survivors as they build their lives free from abuse. The participation from our local businesses promotes Sanctuary’s mission, and we thank them for their active participation this holiday season.”
The Collective 270 owners Josh Osteen and Michael Phillips said they wanted to provide something that was reflective of Sanctuary’s mission.
“The word ‘peace’ can have many interpretations, but we were drawn to the symbolism of a butterfly and how peaceful their existence is in our world,” Osteen said. “We hope people can learn something from these butterflies and spread more peace.”

- Southern Honey Boutique
- The Corner Coffee House
- Ruffled Willow Floral Company
