HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Lovers of unconventional pets gathered at The Bruce this weekend for two days of the Show Me Reptile Show.

With the goal of cultivating the reptile community and bringing together people that are fascinated by snakes, geckos, turtles, and more, vendors set up with dozens of animals on display on April 11-12. Some patrons came to talk reptiles with experts and expand on their existing at home habitats, while others got a glimpse and a feel of what it would be like to take home a scaley pet.

Adults and kids that attended had the chance to hold, touch, and pet the animals that were available for purchase. This is the second reptile show that has been held in the Hopkinsville, with over 1,000 patrons coming through the first time.

They will hold another expo in Hopkinsville later this fall on Oct. 11-12. Find more information about reptile shows across the country on the Show Me Reptile Show Facebook page.
