HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Although flakes started falling later in the morning than anticipated, roads will be heavily impacted throughout the day as snow begins to accumulate throughout Christian County. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service through midnight on Jan. 10.
The entire region is expecting between 4 to 7 inches of snow accumulations. Snow is expected to continue falling through the day and into the night.

“Snow can be expected through the day, ending from west to east late this afternoon into this evening. Accumulations will generally range from 4 to 7 inches,” said Rachel Trevino, Meteorologist for NWS Paducah. “The higher amounts will be mainly in southeast Missouri, southwest Illinois and far west Kentucky, but the entire region will see significant snow accumulations today.”
Christian County Public Schools preemptively moved students to remote learning for Friday, and government offices throughout Christian County have closed to the public in anticipation of inclement weather.
