Update, 5:40 p.m.: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Christian County until 8:15 p.m.

“Emergency management reported continued flooding resulting from heavy rainfall from last night and this morning,” the National Weather Service said. “Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional heavy rainfall tonight will result in continued or additional flash flooding.”

Another 3-6 inches of rain may fall tonight. Expect life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Also, Christian County is under a Tornado Watch until 10 p.m. A Watch means that conditions are right for a tornado to form. If a tornado is spotted or indicated on radar, a Tornado Warning will be issued. That is usually preceded by a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
