HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating an overnight stabbing that left a man with serious injuries in downtown Hopkinsville.

The Hopkinsville Fire Department/EMS was notified around 12:40 a.m. on June 26 that there was an adult male in his 40’s “beating on the door” of the Salvation Army’s church, saying that he was bleeding.

The man told emergency crews that he had been stabbed while crossing the street. He was found with multiple lacerations on his head and torso, according to Payton Roger with HFD.

EMS initially treated the patient, and he was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for further treatment. The area was blocked of by police while the scene was investigated, with HFD’s drone assisting. Two people were taken into custody by police and were charged with assault and robbery.
