HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – High wind gusts and cold overnight temperatures are expected in Christian County for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will drop to the 30s overnight beginning on Wednesday, going as low as 33 degrees on Friday night. Beginning Thursday, highs during the day will be in the 40s with increased wind. Gusts up to speeds of 29 mph are expected through Friday.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says these are the coldest temperatures the region has experienced this year since March. They also noted that the breezy conditions may cause wind chills dropping into the 20s.
Weather patterns will change again going into the weekend, as the NWS is expecting temperatures to rise back up into the 60s.
