  • When: Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and every second Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

July 11

Hoptown Throwdown

  • Where: Founders Square, 110 West 9th Street
  • When: Friday, July 11 from 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Get ready to kick up your heels and join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation for the second annual Hoptown Throwdown on Friday, July 11th. This exciting addition to the downtown summer events series from last year promises another evening packed with country flair and family fun at Founder’s Square.

July 12

Kentucky Bands, Bourbon and Wine Festival

  • Where: 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, KY
  • When: Saturday, July 12 from 3 to 9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The Kentucky Bands Bourbon & Wine Festival is set to delight once again in 2025, showcasing an array of wine, bourbon, and spirit vendors from all over Kentucky. Attendees can look forward to indulging in a variety of food and beverages, complemented by live music throughout the day, all at no cost – admission is 100% FREE!

Aug. 1

Hoptown Idol

  • Where: Founders Square, 110 West 9th Street
  • When: Friday, Aug. 1 from 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Bring your friends AND your voice to Hoptown Idol! Come show off your talent in front of a live audience for a chance to win the first place prize of $500 and a two hour recording session. Send in your audition tape for a chance to be selected as a finalist.

Aug. 16

Community Cornhole Tournament

  • Where: Thomas Street Recreation Center, 2600 Thomas Street
  • When: Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation for a new Community Cornhole Tournament! With friendly competition and a cash prize on the line, grab your best bag-partner and start working on your tossing skills.

Aug. 22 

Movies in the Park: The Wild Robot

  • Where: Ruff Park, Litchfield Drive
  • When: Friday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Presented by United Southern Bank, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Movies in the Park series, one of the community’s most-anticipated summer family activities, comes back with blockbusters shown on our giant inflatable screen for FREE.
    This year’s series will feature food trucks, bouncers, and family activities with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Library beginning at 6 PM. Our movie for the evening (Nathan’s Famous) will begin at sundown!

Christian County Art Loop
