HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Supper Club in Hopkinsville is meeting this week to celebrate Indian heritage through food. Foodies in the area will watch, dine and discuss some fun recipes.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, the Pennyroyal Area Museum is hosting this club with the goal of exploring the diversity of Hopkinsville through food. A news release from the museum says, “The club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation, and learning about other cultures through commensality, which means together at the table.”

People who attend this month’s Supper Club meeting will get to taste the traditional Indian recipes from Dr. Paresh and Mona Sheth, who both live in the area. Guests will even get to take home a recipe and some of the unique ingredients required to prepare it. “With compassion at heart and a journey with history, our goal is to build a community that understands and promotes cross-cultural dialogue with our neighbors,” says museum officials.

The Supper Club is part of The Big Read, an ongoing program in Hopkinsville. Admission for the club is $10, and the cooking begins Thursday at 6 p.m. Buy tickets and get more information here.
