Susan Edds, age 73, of Hopkinsville passed away July 10, 2024, at her home of natural causes. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Brother Chris Crick officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be from 11-1 Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Edds was born on July 14, 1950 in Princeton, KY , the daughter of the late Otis and Nancy Wring Darnell. Susan worked at Flynns for 17 years and Morning Side Assisted Living and was a homemaker. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and the Lyons Club. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Anthony Edds in 1972 and a unborn baby; her brother, Wayne Darnell; her sister, Patricia Childress.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Aretis Edds of Hopkinsville; her daughters, Kelly Crick and her husband, Chris of Crofton and Cindy Parker and her husband, Gary, Jr of Hopkinsville.; five grandchildren, Josh Parker, Joseph Parker, Dylan Crick, Bailey Crick and Kyle Hester and seven great grandchildren.
