HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Commencement ceremonies for Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School will be held on May 23 at the Stadium of Champions. Ahead of the big day, CCPS has shared some information for families and friends that will be attending to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone.

Christian County High School’s graduation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. Hopkinsville High School’s ceremony will begin at 8:30 p.m., with gates opening at 7:30 p.m. The Stadium of Champions will be open to guests on both the home and visitor sides. Both ceremonies will be live streamed, and links will be available on the district website and Facebook pages closer to the event date.

Safety

Weapons of any kind, alcohol, tobacco, and vape products are strictly prohibited on the Stadium of Champions grounds. As part of CCPS’s commitment to safety, they will be utilizing the district’s weapons detection system at all stadium entrances. In addition to this system, the following items will not be allowed in the stadium.

  • Purses, bags, backpacks
  • Gift bags
  • Balloons

Only graduating seniors will be permitted on the field and track area during the ceremonies. After the ceremony, families are encouraged to gather with their graduates outside the stadium for photos and celebration.

“We understand that these guidelines may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding. The safety of our students, staff, and guests is our top priority,” said a statement from CCPSH. “We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you and thank you in advance for helping us create a successful and safe graduation event.”
