HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – If you are still looking for something to do this weekend in and around Hopkinsville, here are some fun events to check out. A classic rock duo is heading to Oak Grove Gaming, Racing, & Hotel, the rodeo is coming to town, there is a community cornhole tournament, and a local bookstore is hosting a author.
- When: Aug. 15 and Aug 16 at 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Western Kentucky Fairgrounds
- Cost: General admission $20, kids over four years old $12.
- Details: Witness competitors with the Lone Star Rodeo Company tackle bareback bronc riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, chuck wagon racing, team roping, and more. There will be activities for kids 30 minutes prior to showtime, and a best dressed cowboy and cowgirl contest. Rodeo Clown Mike Wentworth will also be there entertaining the crowds along with a concert Friday night.

- Where: Blush & Bashful Romance Bookshop
- Cost: Free excluding any book purchases
- Details: Tracey Barski will be at the book store signing copies of her books and greeting fans. Her novels are filled with mystery, suspense, and love with a side of danger. Books will be available for purchase.
- When: Aug. 16 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Where: Thomas Street Recreation Center
- Cost: Free
- Details: Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is costing the tournament with friendly competition and a cash prize on the line. Grab your partner and start working on your tossing skills!

- Where: The Moonshine Amphitheater at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming, & Hotel.

- Details. Tickets are still available for this live, outdoor concert. Air Supply is an Australian rock duo formed in 1975 by Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock. Known for their romantic ballads and smooth harmonies, they rose to fame in the early 1980s with hits like “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.” Their music enjoyed major success in the U.S. and worldwide, especially during the soft rock boom.
