HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend there is a fun variety of events to check out downtown and at the fairgrounds. Whether you love a demolition derby and tractor pull, Minecraft, or the circus, or you would rather take a trip to the Shire and support a downtown brewery, there is something for everyone!

Annual Fall Pull

  • Where: Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds
  • When: Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
  • Cost: $10
  • Details: Farm and altered farm tractor and truck pulls

The Great Pages Circus

  • Where: Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds
  • When: Friday, Sept. 19 at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Adults $20
  • Details: Experience jaw-dropping aerial acts, hilarious clowns, daring jugglers, and the famous Globe of Death motorcycle stunt at The Great Pages Circus! Families can also enjoy performances featuring liberty ponies, majestic horses, and camels.

Fandom Frenzy: Minecraft!

  • Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St, Hopkinsville, KY
  • When: Sat., Sept. 20, 2025, 2:00–3:00 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Minecraft fans unite for the library’s first-ever Fandom Frenzy. Enjoy themed crafts, activities, video games, and light snacks. Costumes and Minecraft gear are encouraged for a fun afternoon of mining, crafting, and community.

9th Annual Hoptoberfest

  • Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company
  • When: Saturday, Sept. 20 from 12-10 p.m.
  • Cost: Free, plus the price of drinks and food.
  • Details: Celebrate fall with Hopkinsville Brewing Company’s 9th annual Hoptoberfest. Compete in signature contests like the beard competition, the stein-holding challenge, and this year’s new adult beer-themed spelling bee. Enjoy food from Camo Caravan.

Hobbit Day Celebration

  • Where: The Book & Bottle Shop, 123 East Ninth Street
  • When: Saturday., Sept. 20 12- 9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free entry; $30 for Hobbit Door Hanger Workshop; Trivia Night free with registration
  • Details: Celebrate Frodo and Bilbo Baggins’s birthdays with a day full of Middle Earth fun! Enjoy themed menu items, join a quest for the One Ring, and take part in special activities. Hobbit Door Hanger Workshop from 2–4 p.m., Lord of the Rings Trivia: 7–9 p.m.

Museum Gala: Juleps, Jockeys, & Jazz

  • Where: Pennyroyal Area Museum
  • When: Saturday, Sept. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $100 per person
  • Details: The second annual Museum Gala celebrates art, history, and culture with a night of cocktails, dinner, music by Full Circle, and a special “Create from the Collection” art installation and silent auction. Inspired by the 100th anniversary of a Christian County horse winning the Kentucky Derby, this year’s theme is “Juleps, Jockeys, & Jazz.” Guests are encouraged to dress in theme. Proceeds benefit the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County.

Demolition Derby
