HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are a few fun family events to check out this weekend in Hopkinsville including a Lord of the Rings movie marathon, a story time and Jeep gathering.

- Details: Hopkinsville’s locally owned movie theater will have a weekend full of favorite fantasy films. Friday will begin with an evening showing of The Neverending Story, followed by a Lord of the Rings full trilogy marathon starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and Clash of the Titans on Sunday. Tickets for each movie and the trilogy showing can be purchased on the Showbox website.
Christian County Literacy Council Story time
- When: March 7 at 11 a.m.
- Where: Visit Hopkinsville
- Cost: Free
- Details: Join the literacy council for some reading fun along with kids activities. Each child in attendance will also get to choose a free book from the Literacy Launcher book vending machine.
- When: March 7 at 2 p.m.
- Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library
- Cost: Free
- Details: Teenagers are able to take a break from test prep and SATs to unwind in the library’s teen area with an art buffet. Test prep survival kids will also be available.
- When: March 7 from 4- 8 p.m.
- Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company
- Cost: Free to attend
- Details: Bring your Jeep, your friends, and your love for good food and craft beer for an evening of food trucks and live music from Tim Scott and a family friendly atmosphere.
