HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are a few events to choose from the weekend after Christmas, including classical music at the local bookstore, a New Year’s celebration at a distillery, and a paint party downtown.

Golden Night

  • When: Dec. 27, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: The Book & Bottle Shop
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Unwind at the end of the work week with a calming Golden Nights experience featuring candlelight ambiance and live classical piano music by Nick Erickson. Guests ages 16 and older are invited to enjoy a relaxed, lounge-style atmosphere and are encouraged to dress in smart casual attire. Tickets and reservations are not required.

Spirited New Years at Casey Jones Distillery

  • When: Dec. 27, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Where: Casey Jones Distillery
  • Cost: Free admission
  • Details: Casey Jones Distillery will release Batch 2 of its Single Barrel Toasted Barrel Finished Bourbon, with limited bottles available both on site and online. The day includes BBQ from Smokin O’s from 12:30–8:30 p.m. and live music by Full Circle from 6:30–8:45 p.m. Guests are invited to stay for the 9 p.m. barrel drop for a chance to win the barrel head and staves as the distillery rings in the new year.

A Very Golden New Year’s

  • When: Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
  • Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company
  • Cost: $35
  • Details: Ring in the new year with a Golden Girls–themed paint and trivia afternoon. Guests will paint a pre-drawn 11×14 canvas featuring the iconic ladies, enjoy Golden Girls trivia, and indulge in cheesecake. The price includes all painting materials and dessert.
