Galentine’s Day DIY Party

  • Where: Grizzly Up Soap Co.
  • Cost: $40 per person
  • Details: Celebrate Galentine’s Day with a hands-on DIY experience making sugar scrubs, bath salt soaks and bath bombs. Friday the 13th Kitty Adoption

  • Where: PetSmart in Hopkinsville
  • Cost: Adoption fees apply
  • Details: Meet adoptable cats and kittens, including “Lonely Hearts” cats who have been waiting over a year for a home. An approved adoption application is required prior to the event, and applications cannot be approved on site. View available cats and submit an application online before attending.

Valentine’s Board & Bottle Special

  • When: Feb. 14 from 12-8 p.m.
  • Where: The Book & Bottle Shop
  • Cost: $40 with pre-order; $50 in store
  • Details: Celebrate the season of love with a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board for two. Choose from cabernet sauvignon, dry rosé or moscato, paired with a board featuring assorted meats, cheeses, fruits, spreads and breads. Pre-orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance for pickup or reserved seating. Walk-in seating on Valentine’s Day is first come, first served.

Alfreda Sings Tina

  • When: Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: The Alhambra Theater
  • Cost: Standard tickets $50
  • Details: Alfreda Payne will take the stage to deliver renditions of some of Turner’s most beloved hits, including What’s Love Got to Do With It and Proud Mary. The Pennyroyal Arts Council says Alfreda is known for her commanding stage presence and dynamic vocals, capturing the spirit, emotion and electrifying performance style that helped make Turner a global music legend.

Dungeons & Dragons: Teen Edition

  • When: Feb. 14 from 12-4 p.m.
  • Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Dungeon Master Jonathan Fielding leads a one-shot Dungeons & Dragons adventure for ages 12–17. Players will create characters and complete a full fantasy quest in a single session. All materials are provided, and registration is not required.

Seance Soiree: A Victorian Valentine’s Day

  • When: Feb. 14, 6-11 p.m.
  • Where: The Knight House, 1417 East Seventh Street
  • Details: Spend Valentine’s Day with an evening of dinner, wine and paranormal experiences. The event features a presentation by investigator and author Cyn Shrader Hill, a séance led by psychic medium Mark Elliott Fults, a two-hour ghost hunt of the historic Knight House and classic table tipping to close the night.
