Thomas Ennis “Tommy” King, 75, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Sunday morning, October 6, 2024 at Christian Health Center, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Revs. Paul and Rachel Ganther officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born on September 12, 1949, the son of the late Thomas E. and Mildred Morse King. Tommy had been a Vet Tech for several years at Westuck Veterinary Clinic, and in later years, worked at Tractor Supply Company.
Tommy received a lung transplant on New Year’s Eve in 2013, and afterward, was given only one year to live. Tommy had a passion for life and for all animals, especially beagle dogs and horses, and could often be seen riding his horse around town. He also had a love for dancing, and in his younger years, taught “Disco Dancing” classes.
Tommy is survived by his sister, Carolyn Anne (Ray) Cobb of Hopkinsville, KY.
