HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Missoula Children’s Theater is coming to Christian County for a mainstage production at the Alhambra Theater at the end of the month. The touring company provides the costumes, scenery, and props necessary to put on a play.
Open auditions for The Secret Garden will be held Jan. 22 at Indian Hills Elementary for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, says a news release. No advanced preparation is required. Assistant directors will also be cast for those interested in the technical aspects of a theater production. There will be a week of rehearsals from 4:00-8:30 p.m. every day with the final show on Jan. 27.
Some of the roles available are Mary Lennox, Martha Sowerby, Dickon Sowerby, Susan Sowerby, Colin Craven, Archibald Craven, Ayah, Mrs. Medlock, Doctor Craven, Ben Weatherstaff, Robin Redbreast, the Bugs that Rock, the Canadian Geese, the Moor Folk, the Fireflies and the Secret Garden.
