Updated 7:15 p.m. Hopkinsville EMS has shared that one patient was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with non-critical injuries despite the severe damage to the truck.
Both semi-trucks involved in the accident were hauling non-toxic materials, but the roadway is still impacted. KYTC says vehicles are being detoured onto U.S. 41 A, and it will take two the three hours to clear.

Around 5 p.m., Hopkinsville Fire/EMS arrived at the scene the accident which occurred between two semi-trucks near Exit 86 in the eastbound lanes. This is near lane shifts and construction in Oak Grove.
Officials are advising that motorists seek an alternate route if they are traveling this direction. No information about potential injuries is available at this time.
